Dear members of the Canadian Systems and Control Community,
This is a quick reminder that the early registration for CSChE 2024 date is July 19th. Please use the link on the webpage:
The technical program will be announced soon. Please note the key features of the Systems and Control Division Program:
The D. G. Fisher Award lecture by Dr Luis Ricardez- Sandoval (UWaterloo) will be on Monday October 7th at 10AM. The title of the talk is: /Towards
the Development of Effective Computational Tools and Algorithms for Optimal Process Integration in Chemical and Manufacturing System/
The invited lecture by Dr Mireille Broucke (EE, UofT) will be on Tuesday October 8th at 10 AM. The title of the talk is: /Problems of Systems
Neuroscience and Control Theory/
The Best Graduate Student Paper Award lecture, which I am happy to report is from our community this year, by Bernard Twum Agyeman (UofA) will be on
Monday October 7th at 1:30PM. The title of the talk is: /Learning-based Mixed-integer Optimal Control for Irrigation Scheduling /(*Congratulations
Bernard!*)
The Systems and Control Division AGM will be held on Tuesday at lunch. Official date and time, as well as the agenda, will be circulated shortly.
Finally, please note from the program that the Systems and Control Division sessions will be on Monday and Tuesday only — We had less allotted presentation slots than usual this year. As a result, some very good contributions had to be moved to the poster category. At the end, I believe that our program reflects the diversity of our community.
See you in Toronto in October,
